Italianate

Situated in downtown Somerville, our clients came to us wanting to do a full gut remodel and restoration of their classic Italianate three-story home. The request was for us to restore the old bones of the house where years of various renovations had stripped away the original architectural details, while making sure the furnishings we selected felt fresh and modern. We custom-designed plaster ceiling medallions, stained glass transoms, and built-in cabinetry to bring back the historical nature of the home. We breathed new life into the full three floors of this home. The end result was a pretty blend of old and new.
